PSHE Ambassadors

The Role of PSHE Ambassador - Newburgh School need YOU!

Do you think YOU have what it takes to promote wellbeing in your classroom and throughout Newburgh School? Are you kind, empathic, resilient and willing to help others? Are you concerned about the environment, the wider community and about how you can contribute to making the world a better place? Do you enjoy your PSHE lessons, circle time and class discussions and debates?

If you agree to the above and you think that this sounds like you, then you would be a fantastic PSHE Ambassador for Newburgh School and we would like to invite you to apply for this role at school. A PSHE Ambassador will be chosen from each class.

Last academic year, our super PSHE Ambassadors worked hard to secure funding for the 'No Outsiders' resource to be used within our school. This valuable resource included a book list for many useful PSHE linked books and we were able to purchase these to use within lessons to supplement our PSHE teaching. Our Ambassadors worked hard, took part in meetings, presented their ideas and shared their findings with their friends in class and they are an asset to our school.

If you are interested in becoming one of our PSHE Ambassadors, please create a manifesto and bring this into school by Monday 23rd September. This could be a short speech, a written piece of work, a simple poster or a PowerPoint presentation, for example. These will be presented in class and our election date will be Thursday 26th September. As part of our teaching about Democracy, every child will be able to vote for one person within their class that they think will be a great PSHE Ambassador and champion the subject.

Our new PSHE Ambassadors will be notified shortly after that date and they will be presented with their badges during Celebration Worship.

Thank you and have fun creating your posters/presentations.
