Headteacher's Welcome
On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors, I would like to welcome you to our website.
Newburgh Church of England Primary School has been delivering education for over 300 years and we are very proud of all that has been achieved. We have a strong partnership with our church and local community and we are very proud of our distinctive Christian identity, culture and ethos, which permeates all aspects of school life. We have created a school community based on our 6 Gospel Values of respect, trust, forgiveness, thankfulness, hope and friendship; a place where each individual can Let Their Own Light Shine.
Our children are taught a rich and broad curriculum by dedicated teachers, and academic standards are high; but for our school it is about so much more than this. It is also about everyone having the opportunity to flouish socially, emotionally and culturally and to know that they are valued. It is about our children having the confidence to have a go at anything and to have the belief that they can succeed.
Ofsted inspected our school in May 2024 and judged that in all areas our school is OUTSTANDING.
Our SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) also took place in May 2024 and confirmed our school was living up to its foundation as a church school.
The pupils, parents staff and governors are extremely proud of our school. We are always pleased to have the opportunity to show prospective families around our school so that they can fully appreciate the distincitve, caring atmosphere and exciting and enthusiastic learning that takes place each day.
