Breakfast/Afterschool Club

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club starts at 7.30am and is run by Mrs Ditchfield and Mrs Baker.  It is £5 per Early Bird session (for those arriving before 8am) and £4 for those arriving after 8am.  If you want to access Breakfast club from 7.30am you must book your child in to the club in advance or we will be unable to accept them until 8am.

In Breakfast Club the children have a place they belong and feel safe. A great start to their day. Healthy cereals and fruits are much better than crisps and energy drinks. Fun morning, full tummies and happy children. Breakfast Club encourages children to shine.

Benefits of Breakfast Club:-

  • Improves attendance
  • Boosts concentration
  • Positive impact on physical and mental wellbeing
  • Improves behaviour in the classroom
  • Opportunities to develop friendships
  • Access to resources that get brains stimulated.

Afterschool Club runs until 5.45pm (5pm on Fridays from 28.10.24) and is run by Mrs Magee and Miss Fairclough.  It is £8.50 per session (£6 on Fridays from 28.10.24). If your child is attending an extra curricular club before going into Afterschool Club there is a reduced charge of £4.

At Newburgh Afterschool Club we aim to provide a safe, secure and relaxed environment offering a range of activities to reflect the interests and age of the children in our care.

In line with the school's aims we will work hard to create a strong sense of family community where everyone works well together treating each other and our environment with respect.

We offer a selection of planned and free choice activities and resources that follow the seasons and various celebrations throughout the year. We have a wide range of resources that include: role play, dressing up, craft, board games, construction, jigsaws, table top games, physical play and sport, reading and Film Friday. In addition, the children have regular access to the outdoor areas, playground, outside classroom and the orchard for forest school activities.

We provide healthy snacks including fresh fruit and vegetables, wholemeal toast/bread and jam or honey, breadsticks, crackers and cheese. Fresh drinking water is always available. We meet individual dietary needs and parental preferences wherever possible. We recognise the importance of healthy nutrition delivered in a calm, friendly setting where food is eaten whilst sitting at the snack table.

We look forward to welcoming you to club.

Mrs Magee and Mrs Ditchfield.
